Now these pictures are definitely NOT the best, and my poor flowers are feeling the 90 degree weather and heavy wind we had today, but I still wanted to post them. The darn birds got to my strawberries today, too. They've been really good about leaving them alone up until this week. Time to set up the covers.
How fun is this? I've had this old ammo box for years. I've always used it as a flower box, so it's weathered and aged perfectly. I have a little collection of milk jugs. They are so fun to use.
I found this old water pump at a yard sale for a mere $15 dollars! I cannot tell you how excited I was over that find. I'm madly in love with my vintage wheelbarrow as well. Look how pretty my salvia is and my daisies are starting to bloom. Any day now.
Looks like I need to fill in a few spots with my petunias. It's a good thing my vintage Tonka trucks are so cute....takes away from the bald spots! Hahaha.
A vintage Radio Flyer wagon is a perfect flower garden. Just remember to water often. As I mentioned before, today was hot and windy and these guys show it.
This is an old chicken coop door given to me by a dear friend and former neighbor. It was in her yard when she was growing up. I plan to grow clematis and let it vine up it and the porch.
This is a drawer from an old dresser. The dresser has been gone for 40 years, but the drawer holds my strawberries well. Now if I can just keep those birds away!
